Guest speaker: Lance Gardner on the topic of ‘Leading in the Unknown’
Lance is the CEO and Independent Care Designer at All About Care Ltd and Chair of Be Caring, an employee-owned health and care business working across the North of England. Prior to this, Lance was a founder of Care Plus in NE Lincolnshire, one of the first integrated health and care social enterprises in the UK in 2011. Lance is also a registered nurse and spent the early part of his career in front line work in a range of settings.
Lance has many areas of expertise and he will be speaking to the inaugural meeting of Next Generation Leaders Club North on the experience of leading when you yourself don’t truly know what is coming, when you cannot offer certainty (only hope) but must, nevertheless, provide support and assurance around change. How do you go about this? How do you inspire and guide others even when you are uncertain and scared yourself? What is the proper role of any leader during periods of high uncertainty?
